What is PageRank?
PageRank is an algorithm used by Google Search to rank web pages in their search engine results. It is named after both the term "web page" and co-founder Larry Page. PageRank works by counting the number and quality of links to a page to determine a rough estimate of the website's importance. It is one of many factors used by Google to determine the relevance or importance of a web page.
PageRank is based on the premise that the more important a website is, the more likely it is to receive links from other websites. It takes into account not just the quantity of links, but also the quality and relevance of the sites from which these links originate.
